Guido and Elizabeth Binda, from the very beginning, chose to focus on creative educational
programs in areas throughout southwest Michigan where Guido's architectural firm had designed
schools. In an effort to promote more impactful grant making, the Foundation prefers to target
programming that is primarily located in Calhoun County.
To compliment a strong education focus, the Foundation also supports arts and culture initiatives
such as the Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra and the Irving Gilmore Keyboard Festival.
In addition, the Board of Trustees have also approved grants in the areas of Health Education
and Human Services.
